4 New Voice Artists Have Arrived — Smoother, More Natural Narration

Want to give your videos, stories or brand content a voice with personality? Hey Subtitle adds four new voice artists: Tifa Chan, Yuffie Wong, Long Long and Lok Tin. From sweet and friendly to lively and bright, witty and humorous to calm and confident — there is a voice that fits your work.

All four new voices are powered by a brand-new text-to-speech engine, so they read more fluently and naturally. The system also adjusts tone and emotion based on the meaning of each passage, making narration sound more expressive and closer to a real person speaking.

What languages do the four new voices support?
All four new voices support Cantonese only. Write in Cantonese, and include Cantonese words such as 咩, 喂, 唔 and 啦 in your sentences — the result will sound the most natural.
What is different about the new voices compared to the old ones?
The new voices use a brand-new text-to-speech engine that reads more fluently and naturally. The system also adjusts tone and emotion to match the meaning of each passage, so narration sounds more expressive and closer to a real person speaking.
How do I use the new voices?
Pick Tifa Chan, Yuffie Wong, Long Long or Lok Tin from the voice list on the Create Voice page, write your text in spoken Cantonese, listen to a preview, then generate the full narration once you are happy.
Do the new voices consume minutes the same way as the old voices?
Yes. Consumption is measured in minutes of generated audio, with the same calculation for new and old voices. Once your monthly free minutes are used up, you can upgrade to a paid plan to keep going.
