Hey Subtitle was born from a real creator's pain point. Founder Mr. K is a well-known Hong Kong urban exploration YouTuber who films extensive exploration content that requires constant narration — making the subtitle workload enormous. Using tools like Subanana in the past, the pricing was steep and AI transcription accuracy was far from ideal, often requiring hours of manual corrections.

At a YouTube creator event, Mr. K met the CEO of CantoSubAI, and the two discussed the many challenges of subtitle creation. The CEO was young and talented, with a very professional product — this encounter deeply inspired Mr. K and strengthened his resolve to build his own subtitle tool. Drawing on his professional background in banking IT management, Mr. K worked his day job while building this platform from scratch with AI development partner Mr. Claude at night — countless sleepless nights, all to bring this "baby" to life.

After launch, Mr. K discovered that entrepreneurship isn't just about writing code — it also involves managing social media, producing tutorial videos, and marketing. Every step was a brand new learning experience. But the original vision never changed: to help every content creator easily produce professional subtitles, saving time for what truly matters — creating.
